Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
CGS in Singapore had just celebrated its 20th anniversary in August 2025. I am deeply grateful to the pioneers who first brought this “seed” to our shores. Today, it has grown into a tree with 13 parishes, and it continues to flourish.
After 15 years of my small contribution to the CGS community, I can truly say it has guided and moulded me into a closer relationship with the Lord. I have learned to be more attuned to His voice, much like the children who quietly listen and respond to Him in the Space. Lately, I have been sensing more deeply that this work is meant to draw us into humility, never pride. It is an invitation to serve others with gentleness, to affirm them with kindness, and to love them as the Lord Himself has loved. Every work we do for Him should shape us into being little and humble—just as Jesus came into our midst as a little child.
The Lord has also humbled me through True Vine work of spreading His Word in the digital world. Again and again, I am reminded to rely fully on Him—for everything belongs to Him. I remain ever grateful for the opportunities to serve Him via books selling, and I see His hand even in the smallest details: shipment of books reaching the study groups on time, despite my unnecessary worries.
This year, I have also seen His providence in a very personal way—through the gift of my family and the blessing of being granted citizenship. These are not just milestones, but signs of His faithful care and guiding hand in my life. In His perfect timing, He has provided stability, belonging, and new opportunities to grow in faith and service.
As I look ahead, I continue to seek the Lord’s will for the next phase of my journey. I know He is still writing His story in me. My prayer is to remain open, discerning, and willing to follow wherever He leads—whether in CGS, True Vine, or elsewhere. May He grant me the grace to serve with humility, joy, and trust, always remembering that it is His work and not mine.

Ascension Press Distribution
This little project was started to bring in Ascension Press products to Singapore. Their Bible-in-a-Year podcast which was launched through the Covid-19 pandemic has blown through the roof worldwide and we in Singapore are also hooked on using this opportunity of having more time on our hands to read and learn the word of God.
I realised upon trying to purchase the accompanying bible – The Great Adventure Catholic Bible online that Ascension Press only sells direct in the US. And it was really difficult to get my hands on it, as the whole world was looking for this piece of treasure. So I got a little help from my husband to set up this little site and we decided to bring in the great books that Ascension Press publishes to increase the faith literacy of our community here in Singapore.
So if you’re looking for a particular book or course material that is not listed in our website, feel free to drop me a note and I’ll try to bring it in for you whenever a shipment is arranged.
We are just a small outfit, so do bear in mind that because of our size, our shipping charges are generally higher than other retail outlets.
Morning Coffee with the Lord
I love my mornings and a cup of coffee with the Lord to start my day. It was at one of these coffee talks that thoughts came to me (#godmoment) to have this humble space to enrich our community in Singapore to have access to His word (printed ones). Well, things are ever-changing but God and His Word remains.
In 2011, I had attended Jeff Cavins’ Bible Timeline study at a local church (I still keep the hard cover A4 ring file and all the materials). And during this pandemic lockdown, I had started listening to Jeff Cavins’ scripture guides i.e. his podcasts via Ascension Presents and his online studies. Presently, my husband and I are following Fr. Mike Schmitz’s Bible in a Year podcast… A tremendously great experience in bible studies.
There has been a yearning in my heart to own a copy of The Great Adventure Catholic Bible and to use it with my children. So here we are, may God lead us in our path ahead. And I pray that you are blessed in your own faith journey.
About Me
I was born and educated in Malaysia and came to Singapore at the age of 23. It was a bright Saturday afternoon, I walked into a Catholic Church in Tampines and there… I was “abided” to the Good Shepherd.
In 2009, I became a Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) catechist. At the prepared space (the “Atrium”), listening to the children’s whispers of their deepest desire for God is the most fulfilling work for me.
Out of curiosity in finding more about the roots of CGS, I pursued Montessori training in early childhood education in 2012 and was subsequently attached to a local pre-school as an early childhood teacher.
Being with children always brings me to the most humble state, physically and spiritually.
I am blessed with a loving husband and 2 kids and have returned to my corporate work part-time at a local firm while taking care of my kids.
